Fortuna Police Searching for Attempted Murder Suspect

Fortuna Police are looking for a man this morning after he allegedly attempted to shoot another person last night.
According to a police BOLO, on May 17 a little before 10 p.m., Zachary Haggard was involved in an argument in the 2300 block of Acacia Drive in Fortuna. During the argument, he allegedly brandished a .22 pistol and discharged one round at the victim. He then walked from the residence and allegedly fired at least six additional rounds at it.
Haggard was last seen in the vicinity of Hope Lane in Fortuna. Officers are asked if they see the suspect to stop and arrest him on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and brandishing a firearm.
Haggard is a white male adult, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last wearing a green camouflage hat, red bandanna and green pants.
His last known arrest was Jan. 25 for assault.
