Yesterday, Facebook notified Redheaded Blackbelt that we would be getting the entire grant we applied for through its Facebook Journalism Project COVID-19 Local News Relief Fund Grant Program — $44,215!

We applied for that money to go directly to stories for you, our readers. Every cent will translate into either photos or words that will inform you about what’s happening in our community during this crisis.

We’re so excited about bringing you increased content. Meet the other local newsrooms that have been chosen by clicking here. A special shout out to the Mendocino Voice and Two Rivers Tribune, two other small, local outlets whose communities will benefit from the grant. As we all continue to bring you high-quality news, your support has never been more important.

Visit the Redheaded Blackbelt website to find out how to donate.
