The thought of Mary Burke as our next Fifth District supervisor is so reassuring to me.
As a 26-year McKinleyville resident and neighbor of Mary’s for much of that time, I’m aware of her long experience and familiarity with Humboldt, her good nature, her ability to listen and understand, and the competence and dedication she brings to her work. She gives me hope in these times of rising distrust and polarization.
Her management of Cal Trout’s successful Mad River salmon habitat restoration project with pocket park and trail, has been a great gift to life in our McKinleyville neighborhood, and beyond, as we see in the growing numbers of salmon and human visitors coming by.
I look forward to future enhancements to life in Humboldt County with a board of supervisors that works together with the kind of respect and compassion Mary will bring.
Please help elect Mary Burke Fifth District supervisor.

I’m enthusiastically supporting Mary Burke for Humboldt County 5th District supervisor. Throughout my 17 years living in McKinleyville, I’ve seen Mary again and again show up for our community. She puts in the work to make Humboldt County a thriving place where we use our resources responsibly and deliberately for the benefit of our local people. Mary has an extensive resumé that includes preserving our ecology and building relationships among our community members. I see Mary at local events talking to people and it’s obvious that she cares deeply for them. I hope everyone will join me in voting for Mary Burke.
