was found dead at his Trinidad home yesterday evening.

Very sad.
My deepest condolences to the Times Standard and to Rich’s family. I am glad we got to visit with him at one of the Coffee with the Editor and Publisher events and once at The Waterfront Restaurant. Greg and I sat next to Rich and James at the bar and talked about the blogs. I insisted on buying their lunch. We didn’t always agree, and I looked forward to getting to know him better. I don’t think Rich is much older than me, so this news is shocking.
We will miss you, Rich!
I hope his family has been notified, that’s the reason the T-S held back on the story for Sunday morning, and yet, here you guys have it posted.
