4th Annual Zootini

What:

The Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation, the non-profit organization that provides fundraising support for Sequoia Park Zoo improvements, will hold its fourth annual Zootini gala on Saturday August 14th from 5:30-9 pm at the Zoo. Funds raised will benefit the Zoo’s Education Program.

This high-style evening against the majestic backdrop of the Sequoia Park redwoods.  Guests will have the opportunity for up-close and personal encounters with some of the Zoo’s more charismatic animal ambassadors, including Luna the Barn owl and Hufflepuff the Angora rabbit.  Our new Red pandas are usually quite active at this time of day, too. The ticket price includes a drink ticket for a custom-crafted “zoo”tini or other cocktail; sponsor Six Rivers Brewery will also serve other Zoo-themed cocktails at the no-host “Monkey Bar,” along with wine by Bode Cellars.  Graystone Jewelers is sponsoring Gemstone Treasure Drinks once again, which offers the opportunity to win a unique handcrafted gemstone necklace in addition to the gem you receive with your drink! 

Other opportunities to take home a unique souvenir of the evening include silent and live auctions offering everything from vacation packages to privately-catered dinners to new tires – auctioneer extraordinaire Rex Bohn will be doing the honors at the live event.  Guests can also try their luck at the Luck of the Draw wine pull: purchase a ticket for $10 and pull out a bottle of wine worth anywhere between $5 and $50 – it’s all in the luck of the draw.

Rounding out the evening will be fabulous food and scrumptious desserts crafted by Brett Shuler Fine Catering, served to a background of live jazz from local band Magnolia.

Tickets are available in advance at the Zoo Gift Shop, at your local Les Schwab Tire Center, online at www.SequoiaParkZoo.net, or by calling 442-5649. Tickets may also be purchased at the gate on the night of the event. Prices are $40 per person for Zoo members and $45 in advance, $55 at the gate, for non-members. Or, purchase a table of 8 for $320 and receive reserved seating, your own personal table butler and recognition in the program – an ideal business treat for your most-valued employees! Guests must be 21 or over.
