Annie and Mary Weekend in Blue Lake
It’s almost that time of year! The Blue Lake Chamber of Commerce is looking for vendors who do crafts or family-oriented enjoyable activities for the upcoming Annie & Mary Day on July 19th. This long running family oriented day is filled with fiddling, food, fun, music and one of the best parades in Humboldt County! The Folklife Society always has a special line-up of music for this well-attended event.
For the first time ever, Dell’Arte will generously host a free “Make a Float” event on Saturday, July 18th - Noon - 4pm at the Dell' Arte Parking Lot on the corner of 1st and Railroad across from Stardough’s Cafe. Bring your car, your trailer, your wagon, or your tricycle, and your idea, some materials and especially yourselves and make a float for the Annie and Mary Day parade! This year’s parade theme will be “Fun in the Sun and Sea Air”. Dell'Arte will have on hand designers to help you construct your float to celebrate our community in the Annie and Mary Day parade. There will also be mask making for kids and general Dell’Arte fun! Annie & Mary day will kickoff with its best parade ever this year Sunday morning at 11:00, July 19th and will also feature the Samba Alegria dancers. Everyone is welcome!
For more information on being a vendor, please contact Adelene Jones at
668-5567. To be a participant in the parade, please contact Rebecca Collins at 668-1889 or email anniemaryparadeinfo@gmail.com
This is a wonderful family affair; hope to see you in Blue Lake!
