HUMBOLDT COUNTY has a wealth of organized summer activities for children. This is just a survey of what's available. For more information, contact your school, church or pick up a copy of the Humboldt Kid's Digest at a branch of the Humboldt County Library, the Eureka Chamber of Commerce or county agencies.

Most of these activities require pre-registration so don't delay. Scholarships are available for many programs. Call for details.

Description: Options include rock climbing, whitewater rafting, backpacking, mountaineering, hiking, boogie boarding & swimming.

Description: A safe place for adolescent girls to start a quest to discover who they are & explore issues & pressures they face in our culture.

LOST COAST CAMP

MARINE SCIENCE SUMMER PROGRAM
Description: Two week-long morning camps along with family classes. Get your hands wet learning about various forms of marine wildlife. Family classes include tidepooling, birding, fish printing & an edible seaweed collection.
