Last week’s story “The Coming Flu” inaccurately reported that in California about 36,000 people die each year from seasonal flu. In fact, that is the estimated number of flu-related deaths per year in the nation, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The number is an estimate, not an exact count.
