Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Zero to Fierce: End of the Line - The Women of Standing Rock Online

When: Tue., March 9, 8-10 p.m. 2021
Phone: 707-822-1575
Price: Free
Showing of Shannon Kring’s film about a group of Indigenous women risking their lives to stop the Dakota Access oil pipeline construction that desecrated their ancient burial and prayer sites and threatens their land, water and very existence. With panel discussion. "End of the Line" takes viewers inside the resistance as construction workers edge closer to their land. Leaders from Standing Rock and surrounding Native American communities gelled together to set up camp along the proposed area in peaceful protest. From the encampment, we witness the growing militarization of their opponents, and the lack of consideration they receive from the government for their most basic of rights.
