Drama

Set against the backdrop of a cold and sleepy winter in the picturesque steppes of the Central Anatolia region of Cappadocia, Turkey, this film tells the story of Aydin, a former actor, now a newspaper columnist and the owner of a boutique mountaintop hotel, his much younger activist wife Nihal, and his sister Necla who becomes his verbal sparring partner and confidante. A seemingly insignificant incident involving the young son of a former hotel employee casts an ominous shadow over the failing marriage of Aydin and Nihal, and acts as a catalyst for a fierce debate over the class struggle that tears at the fabric of his family and friends.
