Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Wigi Wetlands Volunteer Workday

When: Sat., Sept. 24, 9-11 a.m. 2022
Phone: (214) 605-7368
Price: Free
Join Redwood Region Audubon Society on Saturday, September 24, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for a special Wigi Wetlands Volunteer Workday. We'll be working on removing seed heads, pulling invasive plants, and picking up trash. A skilled equipment operator will also be on-site using an excavator to remove "old growth" plants and roots that we've subdued by hand. It'll be fun to watch! The restoration site is located behind the Bayshore Mall and volunteers will meet in the parking lot directly behind Walmart. Tools, gloves, and packaged snacks will be provided. Please bring your own drinking water.
