What role do artists and culture bearers play in creating a Solidarity Economy? The solidarity economy is a global movement to build a just and sustainable economy where we prioritize people and the planet over endless profit and growth. In this panel, David Ferris of the Highlander Center, Nati Linares of the New Economy Coalition, Ruthi Engelke and Marina Lopez of Cooperation Humboldt will do a quick overview about the origins of solidarity economy, how it's showing up in arts & culture right now, and share what organizing is taking place and ways to plug in. Part of ADC 2021: Artists Creating a Post-Capitalist World.
