Biologist Phil Johnston will delve into the lives and behaviors of weasels, otters, mink, badgers and other mustelids. Humboldt County is home to a diverse array of weasel family members, each occupying a different niche in our coastal, streamside and mountainous habitats. Johnston will discuss the best places to observe them and their sign, as well as their life strategies, behavior, and distributions. Phil is the mountain lion biologist for the Hoopa Valley Tribe, as well as a professional wildlife tracker, photographer, nature writer, and outdoor educator.
