Volunteer Work Day

When: Sat., Feb. 23, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. 2019
California State Parks invites volunteers to help restore our western azaleas in Humboldt Lagoons State Park on February 23, 2019, from 10 am to 1 pm. Volunteers will remove vegetation that is encroaching into the azalea bushes. Please meet at the Stagecoach Hill Azalea Trailhead on Big Lagoon Ranch Road. Take Highway 101, to Kane Road (highway marker 112.5); turn right and go up the hill to Big Lagoon Ranch Road following the signs to the trailhead. Volunteers will receive a one free day use pass to Patrick’s Point State Park. All ages welcome. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes for walking off trail. We have extra gloves and tools for volunteers. Work locations are less than a ½ mile hike from the trailhead. Parking is limited, please carpool if possible.
