Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Redwood Region Audubon Society is sponsoring this presentation by Barbara A. Clucas, PhD, research associate at the Humboldt State University Department of Wildlife. The expansion of urban areas worldwide is of concern to conservationists because it greatly modifies native ecosystems. Dr. Clucas will examine human- bird interactions in urban areas from both an ecological and cultural/socioeconomic perspective. She will discuss the relationships between our own behavior and the diversity of birds, as well as the economic value of birds in North America and Europe. Bring a mug to enjoy shade-grown coffee, and come fragrance-free.
