Re: “Reggae Rising Decision Postponed (update)

Sure Tommy grandstands a glowing report "$600,000.00 gross" earned by 20 local groups. Amazing how a guy can be so versed on the budgets of 20 food booths, but can't even balance his own checkbook? This unsubstantiated "benefit to the community" has been justification for allowing the festival to continue on no matter what. The Planning Commissioners created the monster when the Planning Commission handed Peoples Productions and Tommy Dimmick the Arthur family permit. That permit was the result of years of hard work by the Arthur family and the Mateel Community Center. Gone are the grassroots volunteers who worked together to benefit their local causes. Common- Unity was the heart driving those who gave tirelessly to ensure the successful track record. How can the local nonprofits compete with the landowners selling in their VIP tent or Pizza booth or big city vendors? Of course, Tommy is considering outsourcing or relocating since he is reportedly already living in Marin. He has just burned way too many bridges. Besides he has already threatened to "cut down all of the trees" on the thousands of timber preserve zone acres he inherited from his grandfather if he can't do shows. In his delusion of being in control, he forever demonstrates that he just doesn't have a clue of what is important.
