The trio is comprised of pianist Awadagin Pratt, fresh from performances with the Boston and Chicago
Symphony Orchestras this season, along with inimitable cellist Sophie Shao, winner of the prestigious
Avery Fisher Career Grant and top prizes at the Rostropovich and Tchaikovsky competitions, as well as
violinist and ECMS Artistic Director Tom Stone, who during his 20 years as a founding member of the
Cypress String Quartet has performed with many distinguished artists and in major musical venues all
over the world including the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress and the Ravinia Festival.
