The Humboldt County Beekeepers Association (HCBA) is honored to invite HCBA members and friends to join in celebration of the visit of renowned honey bee ethologist Dr. Thomas D. Seeley, Horace White Professor of Biology at Cornell University. Dr. Seeley will present “The Bee Colony as a Honey Factory” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. after which he will speak briefly about hunting wild bees. Light refreshments will be provided. HCBA also invites bee enthusiasts to a wild bee hunt lead by Dr. Seeley, Sunday, Aug. 25 all day, location to be determined. This outing will begin in the morning and go until late afternoon. Sharing this opportunity will be odds-defying good luck for the first twenty reservations. Bring your own food and water. To reserve a space send an email with “Dr. Seeley Bee Hunt Reservation” in the subject line to [email protected]. The fee is $125.00 dollars paid in advance.
