Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

The Impact of Smiling Members Pick

When: Sun., April 9, 7 p.m. 2017
Price: Free
The infectious power of a smile will be discussed at Lifetree Café on Sunday, April 9 at 7 p.m. The program, titled “Smile Awhile: An Hour of Happy,” explores the mental and physical benefits of smiling and features a screening of the short film The Honey and Bears. “When facing everyday pressures, including work, finances, and even the current political scene, it’s easy to lose track of what makes you happy,” says Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “This program is dedicated to giving people an hour-long reprieve while also bringing a smile to their faces.” During the program, participants will have the opportunity to discuss times in life they have felt genuinely happy. Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Campbell Creek Connexion on the corner of Union and 13 th St., Arcata. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Bob at 707 672 2919 or
