The daily struggles and experiences of the transitionally homeless population will be explored at Lifetree Café on Sunday, September 13 at 7 p.m.
The program, titled “A Day in the Life of the Hidden Homeless,” features a filmed interview with Latoshia Jackson, a mother of eight who has been homeless for the pastyear. Jackson became homeless after her Memphis, TN, home was destroyed by a tornado.
“Being homeless is chaotic and stressful, but right now it is just what we have to do,” says Jackson. “It feels like we are facing an existence of day-to-day survival.”
