Where pets will go after they pass away will be examined at Lifetree Café on
Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 7 p.m.
The program, titled “Do Good Dogs Go to Heaven? Questions About Animals
and the Afterlife,” features a filmed interview with Dr. Kathleen Cooney, a
veterinarian and founder of Home to Heaven, an in-home pet euthanasia service.
“For the most part, people believe their pets are going to ascend to heaven and
the moment death occurs, the soul is gone,” Cooney says. “Others say dogs
don’t think, they react to things, so how can they be in heaven? Everybody has
their own opinion.”
During the session Lifetree participants will have an opportunity to discuss the
times they’ve had to face the death of a beloved pet.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Campbell
Creek Connexion on the corner of Union and 13 th St., Arcata.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith
in a casual, comfortable setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Bob
