Re: “'You Won!'

While all the letters above are excellent the letter by Allan Edwards is outstanding and I thank him for it.

Re: “Retired FBI Agent Disputes Claim He Has Nothing More to Offer Lawson Investigation

Fleming says they have a number of attorneys capable of prosecuting murder cases so she saw no need to bring in an outside prosecutor. If what she says is true why then when the preliminary trial against Zoellner happened did she step out in the last minute and put in a new to murder cases attorney who had no time to prepare and learn all he needed to know and the case was flubbed. Nothing said by the cast of characters seems to hold together.
Also Ehle implying that Zoellner remains the main suspect was a stupid thing to say. Something like that could be pointed to as something that could effect a jury and could get Zoellner off. This makes me lack even the little faith I may have had in Ehle.

Re: “Oldylocks and the 3,000 Stairs

I went back to school in the 1990's and graduated in 1994 a week before my 58th birthday. I had in my younger days gone to New York University and Rutgers Newark Campus and had been married to a professor at MIT. HSU was ridiculously easy-peasy for me. I spent 3 years doing all the grading of art history essay exams. What I was always aware of was that at NYU half the freshman class flunked out mid-year. I don't know what it would take to flunk out of HSU. The young students I was friends w/ certainly knew where Trinidad and far more were and there were a number of students in their 30's, 40's and more.

Re: “Trinidad, Do the Right Thing

Incredibly eloquently and beautifully written. Thank you. As I understand it the Trinidad City Council continues to dither and drag what should be a clear issue on. The lighthouse must be moved and very soon before these rains bring it down. The lighthouse must be moved to a place where it does not, even remotely, trespass upon or impact Tsurai land and graves. The Yurok Tribe should not be asked to share the cost, that is adding insult to injury but that is what the City Council is asking. When that is done the issue must be addressed of the Trinidad Museums dereliction in not having acknowledged the horrific treatment of the indigenous population even while they place Native baskets and art work on display.

Re: “Arkley Emails Foreshadow Litigation over Tuluwat Island

This is the best coverage of this issue I've seen anywhere. Great job, Journal/Linda Stanberry.

Re: “Don't Live in a Murder House

This is such an articulate, beautifully expressed article. I thank you so much for saying what so many of us believe and know to be true. Give it back, it is stolen goods.
