Dr. Sing Chew, Professor of Sociology at Humboldt State University, will speak about how natural resource scarcity and climate change have shaped world history, and how these events can guide us in creating a sustainable future. Dr. Chew will examine recurring patterns as they relate to present-day ecological degradation, biodiversity loss, and socioeconomic and political trends. Bring a mug for shade-grown coffee and come fragrance free.
