Sounds (Like) A Monster

Original Jazz meets vintage sci-fi Films in “Sounds (Like) A Monster” at the Arcata Playhouse. Local trumpeter Nick Talvola brings together an ensemble of Humboldt Jazz musicians to feature some luscious arrangements of original compositions, a few lesser known tunes, and plenty of improvisation. Along with films being projected during the show, the Playhouse will be set up for cabaret seating with small tables for a loungy atmosphere, and will be serving specialty cocktails along with wine and beer. Join them for a smooth blend of live jazz and retro sci-fi films.
