Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
People who love to sing are invited to
"Song Village", a singing gathering hosted by Seabury Gould. This monthly informal gathering is similar to the "Song Circle" which Seabury hosted for many years in Arcata.
This month's Song Village takes place Sunday, January 22 from 1- 3 P.M. at Westhaven Center for the Arts, 501 S. Westhaven Drive, Trinidad. Admission is free. Singers are encouraged to bring the songbook "Rise Up Singing" and copies of songs they would like to share.
All ages are welcome.
In Song Village there is the singing of folk songs and other songs conducive to group singing in an uplifting and fun setting.
"Hooray for getting rainbow gangs of folks -- young and old -- singing together!" (Pete Seeger)
