Re: “Who Run the World?

I'm not getting the title of the review. Does it just need proofing?

Re: “Chile vs. Chile

Too bad La Barca didn't get nominated. It is my personal favorite. Their relleno has a subtle smokey flavor, great Mexican queso fresco, nice batter, and a very good sauce.

The local Facebook Chile Relleno Study Group thought Esmerelda's was good, though their marginal service ticked us off. The group very much liked the Fiesta special relleno (as opposed to their regular omelet style).

Re: “The Not-So-Peaceful Atom

There is no safe way to store nuclear waste, either in the long or the short term. We can only do with the best of what we have.

The waste at Humboldt has cooled down both in temperature and the most active types of radiation, by sitting in the fuel pools for 35 years before being moved to cask. It was the best we could do for Humboldt, but is totally inappropriate for storing fresher fuel like that at San Onofre and other nuclear power plants.

And, obviously, we've got to quit making more of the stuff.

Re: “Best Mexican Restaurant

Surprised by this. First, my Rita's experience and palate puts them last on that list. They don't even make their own tortillas, and don't bother stuffing whole chiles for their rellenos. And arguably the best, Don Juan's in McK, did not make it at all. I guess that's one of Humco's little secrets.

Re: “You Write Seven-O-Heaven

I don't have a desire to write the cartoon, but I do have a comment that involves it.

While I am sure that Amy Stewart's new book is as reasonably good as her last, it seems like the Journal has gone overboard in helping her to promote it.

Don't you think that placement on your cover, three other high-profile editorial placements, a cartoon contest, and a (probably free) ad is a bit much?

I sure do, and with all the other things that have been coming out of and about the Journal recently, I am concerned for the rag's integrity and credibility.

Re: “Ownership diversified

Better than the mixed numerical grammar of "ONE COMMENTS" that showed up after your post.

Re: “Should Thompson Change His Superdelegate Vote?

Yeah, to Nader, Kucinich, or Edwards. The two front runners are essentially twins so it does not matter anyway.
