Re: “When the Waters Rose

My husband, Navy Photographer Alonzo A. Slaughter was aboard the Marine Corps helicopter that crashed into the Eel River Dec 26, 1964. Only the pilot survived the crash and the remains of those who died were all accounted for, except for my husband and the Copilot, Lt. William Arbogast. I recently saw an article in a newspaper archive that claims an unidentified body washed up on the Klamath River a few month later may have been my husband or the copilot, Lt. Arbogast. Does anyone have any further information of the identity of the remains that were found? I was never notified of these findings and would appreciate any information. It was a long time ago but the memory is still fresh in my mind.
