You give our working group way too much credit to think RA would be the slightest bit interested. Come see for yourself what we are about. We're meeting the last Monday of the month at 7 pm at the Labor Temple on E Street. For August we’re meeting on the 27th.
You are welcomed to come and meet us! We are inclusive, we want the larger community involved and we welcome your ideas.
Mike I have always been fond of you and believe it isn't your nature to be cyber-bully. I would gladly have coffee with you to answer all your questions.
Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
If anyone mentions economic development or job creation tiny-town minds claim Rob Arkley is involved. Why are people so fixated on him? Because they know that using his name is a buzz-kill.
It’s not going to work anymore, because people are tired of the polarization. Our community needs legitimate jobs that pay wages so families can buy a home, enroll their kids in our great schools, and have time to make our community even better.
There’s no boogie-man here, just regular people working together through the political quagmire to support great projects that are a good fit for our Harbor. Whether it is an Aquaculture incubator, an artificial reef, boating building or marine highway shipping the working group is exploring what’s possible. What really excites me is that we have an opportunity to re-invent our Harbor as a world class green port and bay.
Linda Atkins has been at our meetings and has been very helpful. We appreciate her comments, as well as all the council members, but most of all, we appreciate their vote of solidarity. A small but important step.
The more I look into this, and do research, the more uneasy I become. When our gov and a big fat utility work together "for my good" I know something is not what it seems. I'd rather have solar panels than the smart meter. These were first approved as wired, now they are wireless which makes them toxic. And guess what? Journal, you should do some more homework.....your smart meter broadcasts to Verizon before it goes to PG&E. In fact it broadcasts to your neighbors, then Verizon, then PG&E. But hey, PG&E knows what they are doing now that they were exposed for putting a nuc plant on an earthquake fault. Like they are more careful now, right? I have no confidence that PG&E will have due diligence to protect my privacy. Just look at what Wikileaks did to our national intelligence, oxymoron! Journal, get under the surface. Look into why people don't trust PG&E's SmartMeter program. Ask them if they can be held liable if it turns out the microwave frequency can be harmful. Lets have the other side of the story.
Looks like third eye is half baked already.
Robby you have a good point and thank you for the information you shared. As Americans we deserve to know the truth and to have a choice.
I have a sign on my meter: NO SMART METER. Third eye you can have mine, where do you want it?
Re: “Eureka Resolves to Reaffirm Commitment to Create Jobs”
Jessie, if by project you mean the Harbor Revitalization Working Group and the actions we’re working on, RA has no connection. If you have facts otherwise I’d like to know. I’ve only missed maybe two meetings and I can honestly say the group represents many areas of our community. We share a common vision for job creation and believe our underutilized harbor is a tremendous asset. FYI, our focus is the Harbor which spans from the Samoa Bridge to Fields Landing so we aren’t focused on the entire bay. Like I said earlier, come see for yourself.
