Nice report, Scottie.

Re: “East-west Rail Propaganda, Anyone?

Thank you for reporting on this. If you hadn't done so, many would not have known it was an item on the City Council agenda Tuesday, prepared by the 'Humboldt Bay Harbor Working Group,' or where we're currently at on the issue. I welcome hearing the different opinions across the board-- or across the third rail, as it may shape up to become.

Re: “Choo-choo Fantasies

Good article presenting current information on an interesting subject. I'm still waiting-- and hoping-- to hear that the proposal will be industry-driven, based factually on pragmatic evidence other than anecdote, and that private companies and investors alike are lining up at the gate for a great opportunity to invest.

Re: “M. Night in the Classroom

Outstanding write-up, Ciara, and what a great opportunity for the class through the invitation of teacher Mr. Davis-Floyd. I'm impressed.

It was very thoughtful and gracious of Mr. Shyamalan to have given his time so freely and graciously to the students before having dinner with his family, especially given that he's an important, busy, and probably one very tired guy who's been shouldering heavy work and responsibility over the past several weeks, if not months.

Nice. Thank you.

Re: “Super Pay

"So what do our supervisors say about all of this? They manage a budget of around $300,000 million." Or, doing the math, $300 billion dollars. That's a lot of responsibility.
