Sinkyone Indian Land, Water & Culture Hike

Please join Sanctuary Forest on Saturday, July 21st for the Sinkyone Indian Land, Water and Culture hike! The hike will be led by representatives of the InterTribal Sinkyone Wilderness Council in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. Leaders will discuss the cultural history of the Sinkyone people and contemporary efforts by the Sinkyone Council and local Tribes to protect and restore their cultural environment. Please meet at the Sanctuary Forest office in Whitethorn at 11am. This moderate, 2-mile hike will return to the Sanctuary Forest office at 5pm. Bring lunch, water, hiking shoes, and a 4-wheel drive for carpooling if possible.
