I stumbled on this article as I googled for coverage on the 50th anniversary of the crash of Rescue 1363. I am the youngest daughter of Coast Guard pilot Donald L. Prince. My mother and I so much regret not being able to attend the memorial and the placing of the plaque at the crash site.
I was four when my father, the other crewmen and civilians were killed. I think of them all often and appreciate articles such as this one that teach me more about that tragic day.
