Share the Beach Volunteer Training

Volunteers are needed to spend 3-5 hour shifts on weekends and holidays throughout the the summer conducting outreach activities at Clam and Little River Beaches. Working in teams of two, volunteers will table and roam the beach surveying beach use and talking to the public about beach regulations, beach ecology, and the threatened Western Snowy Plover.

A Share the Beach volunteer training will be held on Sunday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meet at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Office, 1655 Heindon Rd. Arcata. We will take a field trip to Clam Beach County Park. Bring a lunch and dress appropriately for the weather. Please R.S.V.P. to suzie@friendsofthedunes.org or 707-444-1397.
