Volunteers are needed to assist with outreach efforts at local beaches through the Share the Beach program. The goal of the Share the Beach is to encourage stewardship of coastal ecosystems by increasing community awareness and appreciation of natural diversity and to encourage recreation practices that protect native species, especially the Western snowy plover. Volunteers will work with Share the Beach interns to share information about local beach ecology at Clam Beach County Park, Little River State Beach, and Big Lagoon State Beach.
