Sorry, but it seems crazy to spend $24 million on overpasses and stoplights on Hwy 101, when shaving 10 mph off the speed limit has made a big difference already.
HCAOG, please don't throw our local funds behind this boondoggle. We may not be able to re-purpose the state funds, but we have better ways to spend our own money, thanks very much.

Uti Deva, I agree both about the importance of other counties to the success of future legalization efforts, and the similiarity of the Humboldt results overall to the rest of the state.
But what I said in the article was that _southern_ Humboldt had rejected Prop. 19 decisively. In the 13 precincts that make up the SoHum Community Healthcare District (basically Weott to the Mendo line, excluding Honeydew and Petrolia), the margin was 66-34 against, out of 3,437 votes cast.
