Schaub Memorial Lecture 2018 -- "The Transition to Legal Cannabis"
HSU’s Politics Department presents the 14th Victor T. Schaub Memorial Lecture on Local Politics – a discussion on “The Transition to Legal Cannabis.” Panelists will be Hezekiah Allen, Executive Director of the California Growers Association; John Ford, Humboldt County Director of Planning; Mariellen Jurkovich, Director of Humboldt Patient Resource Center; and Linda Stansberry, journalist with the North Coast Journal.
The lecture series' namesake, Victor Schaub, was an Arcata civil attorney and professional mediator who was elected to the City Council in 1988 and served until 1996. He served as mayor from 1990-95. Victor died in 2004.
