Members of EPD’s Community Safety Engagement Team, Uplift Eureka, Eureka Rescue Mission and Betty Chinn Center were out in the elements providing outreach and shelter options.

Deputies responded to a home in a remote area in the mountains of Southern Humboldt, to remove several trees that had fallen across a resident's driveway during the storm. The woman had used her last few pieces of firewood for her wood stove that she was using to heat her residence and had be unable to leave to get more.
