Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
Do you grow roses? Now is the time to prune, come learn how on Saturday, February 23 at 10 am at
the Humboldt Rose Society's garden at Redwood Acres. This is the final pruning workshop for 2019
and, if you have an interest in hands-on training, come to this workshop. The Humboldt Rose
Society's rosarians, master rose growers, will explain, show and help you correctly prune roses.
Bring your pruning tools, as pruners will be sharpened at no charge. The Humboldt Rose Society
rose garden is located at the north end of Redwood Acres.
Time for general questions about rose selection and maintenance is included during the
demonstration. The HRS members providing the demos are Rosarians who have received special
training and certification by the American Rose Society.
