Its a far more tragic day when the President of the United States doesn't understand the simplest of terms: Big words like "drought", "climate change" and "leadership". Americans are supposed to work together on finding solutions, not creating additional problems. California leadership, regardless of political party, recognize this simple concept and are working as a (here comes another big word...) "TEAM" to facilitate both the firefighting efforts and subsequent recovery post-fire disaster for these communities. It's best that the Trumps don't visit California because it will just be for a photo op similar to what you speak of (let's recall Trumps hurricane paper-towel throwing gesture in PR, or the most recent FLOTUS "gardening"). Additionally, many of the California pot farms you're referring to in the area support and supply the recent U.S. FDA approved Epidiolex. The manufacturer of Epidiolex is British, with cannabis farms and investments across many of high-risk wildfire states (including many dominant GOP states). The only armchair quarterback in this scenario, both with regard to the California wildfire fight or any US-lead initiative is Trump. The reality is, Trump is far more concerned about golfing and Tweeting storms as a means to protect himself and his family (#MuellerTime). They say you can't fully understand a situation or struggle into you walk in another's shoes. I hope you Sir, nor your loved ones ever experience the fear of running for your life from a fast moving wildfire, fueled by years of a drought. After the fire is suppressed, the sense of "rebuilding" fills the community and the new day-by-day post-fire life begins. Recognizing family members didn't survive, however, is pure agony. #SonomaCountyStrong #TheLoveInTheAirIsThickerThanTheSmoke
