The Humboldt County Library - Based on the Book Film Series is back this summer with Best Served Cold: Revenge in Film Noir. Fittingly, the series continues with an An Act of Violence (1949) War veteran and former POW Frank Enley is a happily married small-town citizen, and pillar of his community. But when his troubled bombardier Joe Parkson limps into town, obsessed with revenge, a terrified Frank flees to Los Angeles. As Joe closes in, Frank goes into hiding, abandoning his young wife, who has no clue about her husband's wartime record. Hosted by Barry Evans.
