Re: “DA Fleming Will Ask the Attorney General's Office to Handle Prosecution in Lawson Case

As I commented on the North Coast Journal thread...

https://www.northcoastjournal.com/humboldt…

...on March 28, 2019 citing Mr. Greenson's lazy work ethic and reliance on innuendo:
"Interim Arcata Police Chief Ehle's assertions are given completely unfounded weight (e.g., "...the strength of Ehle's public statements..."). The making of a statement by a person employed in the law enforcement industry has nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not the statement has any legitimate basis in fact."

From the Humboldt County District Attorneys Office press release of March 29, 2018 and shown above:
"...recent media reports have heavily relied on a statement by former Arcata Police Department (APD) Interim Chief Rick Ehle that APD had delivered 'unequivocal physical evidence' in the case. When asked about that statement by the District Attorneys Office, Mr. Ehle claimed to have been misquoted."

Now then, the issuance of an apology by Mr. Greenson for his careless and irresponsible actions in distributing misinformation to the public is entirely appropriate. Mr. Greenson?

Re: “If Prosecutors Can Get a Grand Jury to Indict a Sandwich, Why Couldn't They Get One to Indict Kyle Zoellner?

From headline to content, article author Mr. Greenson's writing is noteworthy on at least two accounts:
1. Interim Arcata Police Chief Ehle's assertions are given completely unfounded weight (e.g., "...the strength of Ehle's public statements..."). The making of a statement by a person employed in the law enforcement industry has nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not the statement has any legitimate basis in fact.
2. The delivery of a less than full-on hatchet job of Mr. Zoellner. On the subject of Mr. Zoellner, the facts are:
A. The probable cause hearing was a farce and the judge found no basis upon which the government could then proceed via the judiciary.
B. The empaneled criminal grand jury chose to indict nobody.

If and when Mr. Greenson chooses to engage in far more fact-based and legitimate journalism, well, there's always the future. With this article, he remains mired in the cesspool of innuendo and lazy work ethic.

Re: “Charmaine Lawson Vows to Keep Fighting for Son, Plans to Attend Tomorrow's Vigil

If there was ever a day in Humboldt County when there was much goodwill from the vast majority of residents for Ms. Lawson, that day passed quite some time ago. Ms. Lawson has gone much farther than having merely worn out her welcome. She has decisively alienated all but an astonishingly small group of people. Ms. Lawson, you are no longer welcome in Humboldt County. Kindly do not return. Condolences to you.

Re: “Amid Controversy Over New Policy, KHSU Volunteer Tried to Thwart Studio Move

In reading Mr. Knight's email message to the KHSU station engineer, he seems to be encouraging, pleading with even ("begging" in his words), the engineer to take actions that would constitute obstructing or sabotaging HSU operations. That would be obstruction or sabotage against the state of California. If he hasn't done so already, he would probably benefit from hiring an attorney, hoping for the best, and expecting the worst in state charges. On the other hand and considering that KHSU also falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Communications Commission, he could also face federal charges.

Re: “Concerned Community Members Flood Meeting to Discuss Firing of Woman who 'Put the K in KHSU'

Grow up, Humboldt County.
KHSU is desperately in need of an organizational enema starting with showing the door to the legions of people who have been there for far too long and are an albatross around the station's neck. Good riddance.

For as much as the community hates HSU, it simultaneously believes that it is entitled to control KHSU. The community has been leaning on street drug use and economics for way too long. The best outcome is for the community to completely withdraw all of its financial support of KHSU thus enabling KHSU to completely free itself of the arrogance and ignorance of the community and ignore the fools of think they get to decide on the day-to-day operations of KHSU. Sickening this whole sordid matter. And so long Katie Whiteside. Do us all a favor and leave California.

Re: “St. Joseph Health Hit with Anti-Trust Lawsuit Alleging Unfair Business Practices to Protect 10-fold Price Markeups

St. Joseph Hospital Eureka and Redwood Memorial Hospital are cesspools of arrogance, ineptitude, exploitation and abuse. The organization is rotten to the very center. If any organization deserves this lawsuit, it is unquestionably Providence St. Joseph. They are a scourge on Humboldt County and a danger to public health.
