When local pastel artist Ralphie Hendrix sees something she wants to paint, the main thing that hits her is The Light. A lot of her landscapes are of the sunny portions of Humboldt county. She tries to recreate the light that beckons to those of us who are lucky enough to live here. It was a life changer when she discovered she was able to utilize pastel sticks to translate into light.
Come out to meet the artist. Her show will hang during May and June.
