Saturday, December 13, is Pulling and Planting Day! Join the Hikshari' Trail Volunteer Trail Stewards for a morning of pulling spartina and filling its holes with native marsh plants. Meet at the Elk River Sanctuary parking lot at the very end of Hilfiker Lane at 9:00 a.m. We have some tools and gloves but bring a shovel and gloves if you have them. Boots are strongly suggested. Weed pulling and trash pick up are other options for volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome. Rain or shine. Contact Jane at 444-2357 or Susan at
