The story by Heidi Walters in last week’s Journal does not reflect what I wanted to convey when I spoke with her on the phone (“Cult of the Pipe,” May 21).
I felt pressured because of her “Tuesday deadline” admonitions and failed to reiterate that I mostly wanted to ask if we, the residents, should find out what person or entity has the right to take away drinking water from the public. I want to apologize because I do not want to offend anyone.
If the whole thing boils down to a traffic safety issue, then have the “emergency parking only” sign replaced with a message to remind drivers to use extra caution when reentering the freeway.
