Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces."
COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.
Tri-tip dinner catered by Blackberry Bramble, plus speakers, a silent auction, raffles, prizes, steelhead photo slideshow, fine art show, beer and wine.
This year's keynote speaker is Thomas Dunklin presenting a "Restoration Retrospective," a story of restoration on the North Coast with an eye toward the future recovery of salmon and steelhead populations.
We are also pleased to welcome Farhat Bajjaliya, a CDFW Environmental Scientist and the Steelhead Report and Restoration Card Coordinator who will be speaking to what happens with your Steelhead Report Card funds.
The evening takes place at the Sequoia Conference Center in Eureka, starting at 6pm. We will have a silent auction including a kayak donated by Pacific Outfitters, rods and reels by several outdoor stores, and guided rafting and fishing trips. In addition, be prepared to feast your eyes on the first ever Humboldt Steelhead Days Fine Arts Exhibition curated by The Ink People.
