WILPF Humboldt (Women's International League for Peace and Freedom) presents for Peace and Planet Before Profit a Solidarity Earth day Event "Crude Beyond Belief", documentary about the devastating effects of petroleum and natural gas production (fracked and otherwise) on the people and environment of Kern County. Saturday, April 22, 2017 ~ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm @ D st Neighborhood Center, 1301 D st, Arcata. Local activists Diane Ryerson and Walt Paniak will address the connection of Kern County oil and gas production with Humboldt County gas use and production and the Jordan Cove Pacific Interconnect Pipeline. Sue Hilton will moderate with Q & A after the film. Quilt raffle tickets available for sale that goes towards Edilith Eckart Peace Scholarship. FREE event. Donation accepted. Light refreshments.
