Remember when the North Coast Journal ran that article on dioxin levels in the oysters? And Arcata Main Street freaked out? Because there IS dioxin in the oysters. That hasn't changed. I thought the secret plan was to clean the old mill sites by collecting the dioxin in oysters, eaten by out-of-towners at this "Oyster Fest". These people would then leave town and poop out the dioxin down the road. (Except for the dioxin that stayed in their bodies. ) Really- An excellent solution and again showing Arcata's progressive solutions in bio-remediation. Now...Charge them $10 just to enter and then buy dioxin-laden oysters? Ha Ha Ha! Arcata Main Street- You are killing me!!
