Re: “Main and Loleta

I lived in loleta in 82/83 i was only 7 at the time, i had moved over from England with my mother who has now passed away and my 3yo sister. My first memories were of the smell, the dairy used to have this smell to it that as a child, intrigued me and my freinds when we rode past on our bikes. I remember the trains that used to take forever to pass, being from England, our trains are small compared to those over there. My memories of the shops are amazing i remember every detail even the penny sweets i remember having 1c on them! Im so happy it looks like it used to although i cant find the gas station and the motel that im sure was next door to it on google earth, i have found my old house just off pershing street is still there too! All i can say is i miss it soo much and i would love to take my children and go back sometime. And i nearly forgot, Halloween. Its hard to tell people here in England about halloween in Loleta, i remember the whole town out at night im sure even the fire station did something and we ended up at the market? Correct me if im wrong but im sure there were stalls where we had chilli dogs and things there? God i miss that place! All my love from England!
