Dr. Lowell Diller, senior biologist at Green Diamond Resource Company and adjunct professor at the Department of Wildlife at Humboldt State.

In 2013 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service authorized the experimental removal of Barred Owls from four study areas in the Pacific Northwest as a means to benefit threatened Northern Spotted Owls. Dr. Diller discusses this five-year pilot experiment in which Barred Owls have been removed from approximately half of Green Diamond’s timberlands in Northern California.
