Parents of upcoming kindergarten students are invited to a question-and-answer session with Cindi Kaup and Agustín Amaro of the Humboldt County Office of Education. Parents will learn about both transitional and traditional kindergarten, about the variety of options available in Humboldt County, and about learning English in kindergarten and the importance of maintaining the home language. Spanish interpretation provided. Children who attend with their parents may participate in quiet activities on the side. Each family will receive a free book thanks to the Decade of Difference. Also sponsored by the Redwood Discovery Museum and First 5 Humboldt.
