On the Road to Climate Action

When: Thu., May 23, 4:30-6:30 p.m. 2019

Friends of the Dunes and the Northcoast Environmental Center co-hosting the team of Shahir Masri (air pollution scientist from UC Irvine) and Athina Simolaris (educator) with their project, "On the Road for Climate Action." These two have put their careers on hold to take to the road this year to help raise awareness about the accelerated pace of climate change and the urgency to address it, current but inadequate climate policies, and concrete steps and solutions available to our communities and country. The topic of basic climate science will be addressed, as will information about impacts and solutions.
